IT Minister K T Ramarao today directed the officials to expand and strengthen Mana TV being run by the State government to provide jobs through training and skills.
During a review meeting with TSPSC Chairman G Chakrapani and other officials here, KTR asked them to name SAP NET after Telangana. The minister directed them to appoint a full-time CEO for Mana TV network and sought a detailed report of changes to be made besides writing a letter to Andhra Pradesh Government for payment of arrears for using SAP NET services.
The immediate focus should be to strengthen and expand the government run TV which is on low key affair, he observed. He stressed the need for involving government training institutions to offer training, skills, subject knowledge for students and youth. The TV Network should offer services to study circles, create awareness among youth at villages he said. KTR also asked the officials to initiate steps to ensure that it can deliver services to EGMM, TASK and Sri Ramananda Tirtha Rural Development Institute. (NSS)
