Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA from Sircilla K T Rama Rao on Saturday wrote a letter to Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar against the violation of protocol by Karimnagar district officials.
In his letter, KTR sought an inquiry into the issue and sought strong disciplinary action against the district officials for violation of protocol and showing negligent attitude towards the elected representatives. It may be recalled that Civil Supplies Minister D Sridhar Babu distributed cheques on behalf of government to the weavers at Sircilla in the district, who ended their lives due to financial problems. For this programme, the district officials did not invite local MLA K T Rama Rao, who was also a privilege committee member.
KTR said that the district officials forgot to invite the MLA despite his availability for the programme in the district. Protesting against the attitude of officials, KTR sought an explanation from the officials and sought action against them for violation of protocol. In the letter, he also alleged that the District Collector conducting review meetings without informing to him.
