KTR asks Hyderabadi NRIs not worry about Trump’s reforms

NRI Affairs Minister K. Tarakama Rao said that the Telangana Government would make a representation with the Central Government on issues concerning US-based Telugu NRIs.

Speaking to media persons at Karimnagar Collectorate on Saturday, KTR said that the US-based NRIs need not worry about the reforms proposed to be introduced by new US President Donald Trump. He said Trump would need to take the approval of US Senate before implementing his proposed reforms. He said he would soon visit New Delhi to make a representation with the Union Ministry of External Affairs to brief them about the concerns of Telugu NRIs.

Later, KTR held a review meeting with the senior officials on various issues concerned Karimnagar district. He directed the officials to initiate works to provide 24-hour water supply to all areas in Karimnagar Municipal Corporation. He said all 79,000 families in KMC limits would be provide safe drinking water soon. He said there was no shortage of funds to implement the Mission Bhagaritha works. He said 24-hour water supply scheme would be implemented in all municipal corporations in the State in a phased manner. (INN)
