Hyderabad, September 29: Telangana Rashtra Samiti MLA K Taraka Rama Rao on Wednesday slammed Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal and Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu for their ‘provocative speeches’ and attempts to water down the Telangana statehood agitation.
Talking to media persons at Bowenpally police station after his arrest for staging Rasta Roko organized to condemn alleged attack by the police on Telangana Employees Joint Action Committee chairman Swamy goud at RTA office, Taraka Rama Rao alleged that the Chief Minister has conspired to divert the Telangana agitation by using coercive methods against employees who are participating in the general strike expressing solidarity to Telangana agitation.
Warning the Chief Minister of serious consequences if he did not stop coercive methods, KTR questioned rationale behind police arresting the Telangana activists, who are agitating peacefully. He slammed the Chief Minister for sending distorted reported to Centre on the Telangana situation. He suggested Chief Minister at least now send correct report over the prevailing situation in the region and take measures towards forming the Telangana state.
Slamming Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal for ‘provocative speeches’, KTR asked him to give lectures on United Andhra Pradesh by keeping his three wives in a single house. He also advised Telugu Desam Telangana Forum members to resign to their elected posts instead of putting conditions. He said the people of the region were not willing to believe the Forum members’ statements as its president Chandrababu Naidu has not yet made his stand clear on Telangana state.
