BC Welfare Association National President and Telugu Desam MLA R Krishnaiah today extended his gratitude to Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari for announcing to offer free education to intermediate students in Telangana State. It may be noted that Srihari made it clear that the government will distribute text books free of cost besides bearing the fees for all the 1.15 lakh students studying in 402 colleges across the state. The BC leader also sought the deputy chief minister to increase mess charges for hostel students of universities in the state. To this, the minister said that the government will consider the appeal and help the students besides addressing their needs. During the meeting Krishnaiah felicitated the minister for the gesture towards the students and sought more welfare steps. (NSS)
