Hyderabad: The meeting of Krishna Water Management Board was held in Delhi in which the new irrigation projects of Telangana State were discussed. The officials of A.P. and Telangana State attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Ms. Uma Bharati, Union Minister for Irrigation.
Telangana State Govt. alleged that the Board is supporting A.P. On the other hand, A.P. complaint that Telangana State is constructing new irrigation projects on Krishna River and expressed the apprehension that with this, Krishna Delta of A.P. would become dry. The tenure of office of Krishna Water Management Board has been extended for two years so that the issues relating to allotment of irrigation projects could be resolved.
