Vikalangula Hakkula Porata Samiti founder-president Manda Krishna Madiga today called on CPI state secretary Dr K. Narayana at Makhdoom Bhavan and sought support for Vikalangula ‘Chalo Hyderabad’ on August 28 at Nizam College Grounds here.
Speaking to mediapersons, Krishna Madiga demanded that the Centre provide seven percent political reservations to disabled persons from Panchayat to Parliament elections. He urged the State government to set up a separate Ministry for Disabled Welfare and appoint a minister. He also wanted the Central and State governments to enhance reservation from three to seven percent to the disabled in education and employment sector in the country.
Krishna Madiga said he would meet Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu in this regard.
