Kothapet Market Yard new board of directors took oath on Monday in the presence of Ministers T Harish Rao, P Mahender Reddy, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, MLAs Theegala Krishna Reddy, Sudheer Reddy, Madhan Reddy, MLC P Narender Reddy and several other TRS leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahender Reddy said the TRS government allotted huge amounts unlike any government for the development of the markets. The TRS government provided godowns and other facilities in Kothapet Market Yard with Rs 50 crore. The State government implemented online system in four Market Yards as part of National Agriculture Market Policy to control broker system (Middlemen).
He announced that the government was setting up Ethylene Chambers with Rs.3 crore in Kothapet Market. The Minister made it clear that the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was striving for the welfare and development of the farmers. (NSS)
