Kyungsoo Kim, Consul-General of Republic of Korea today called on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu along with industrialists from Korea here.
He was all praise for the manner in which AP economy grew at 10.99 per cent despite difficulties posed by unscientific division. It is phenomenal to be ranked second in the country in ease of doing business, he added. “During your last stint as Chief Minister, we heard about your innovative leadership and development programs. Chandra Babu is a charming CM, and under his leadership we are confident Andhra Pradesh will emerge as investment destination”, said Kyungsoo Kim.
In response, Chief Minister said, “Korea utilised resources from sea for economic development and we would like to emulate your model. Republic of Korea has reached a stage to host Olympic Games, which indicates the robustness of Korean economy,” remarked the Chief Minister. He alsoinvited the industrialists from Korea to set up manufacturing units in AP. Every house hold in Andhra Pradesh uses electronic items manufactured in Korea, added the Chief Minister. He reminded of the ties India and Korea have since ancient times. “We are focusing on Internet of things (IOT) and through Fiber grid; we will provide Broadband services to every home at Rs. 149,” said the CM.
“Real time management is helping us assess the pace at which we are carrying out administration and we have digitised file processing, added the CM. Krishnapatnam, Bhavanapadu, Vishakapatnam ports will help Korea too and Andhra Pradesh is gate way to East Asia, remarked CM. He invited the Korean Industrialists delegation to invest in port based industries. We will provide needed permissions in two weeks through single desk clearance system, he said. Elaborating the advantages in AP CM said AP has 24×7 quality power supply, 974 kms of coast line. He also requested the Consul-General to set up Consulate of Republic of Korea office in Amaravathi. Responding to the Chief Minister’s appeal, Kyungsoo Kim said his country will consider the request to set up Consulate general’s Office. (NSS)
