Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police has arrested a person by name Sandeep Reddy and seized Rs.10 lakh cash from his possession, as also a laptop and some documents. Reddy is reportedly an employee in the company of Chevella congress Party Candidate K. Visweshwar Reddy.
However, Visweshwar Reddy refuted the allegations and lodged a complaint with the election commission on the issue.
According to the police, they seized some incriminating documents from the possession of Sandeep Reddy and added that Sandeep allegedly wrote the details of the receivers of the money in a code language, and also the detail of liquor distributed in each Assembly segment. He also wrote that they had spent Rs.15 crore so far for the election campaign. The police is now in the process of decoding the code Language. Meanwhile, The sleuths of income tax department has also quizzed Sandeep Reddy over the issue. He has been asked to appear before them again if required.
