Senior MLA and former minister Konda Surekha is likely to return to the Congress fold.
According to unconfirmed reports doing rounds in a section of media, Konda Surekha has got in touch with some leaders of Telangana Congress and expressed her desire to re-join the Congress party. She reportedly sought an assurance for ticket for her daughter from Parkal in next elections. However, the Congress leaders reportedly insisted that she should join the party without any conditions.
Konda Surekha was a minister in the cabinet of Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. After YSR’s death, she joined the YSRCP. However, before the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, she joined the TRS and got elected from Warangal East Assembly constituency. (INN)
