Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Monday reiterated that he would resign from the post of Nalgonda MLA and also quit active politics if his brother and former MP Rajagopal Reddy loses MLC elections from the Nalgonda Local Area Constituency.
Speaking to media persons on the occasion of Congress formation day celebrations in Nalgonda, Venkat Reddy strongly criticised Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao for targeting the opposition leaders. He alleged that the TRS Government was harassing him and his brother and KCR has tried all means to win the Nalgonda seat on the basis of money power. He said KCR has nominated candidates who never shouted the slogan of Jai Telangana in their lives. But KCR is targeting leaders who sacrificed their posts for the statehood cause, he said.
Venkat Reddy also said that KCR’s would not gain anything from the ‘Ayutha Chandi Maha Yagnam’ as he was practising unethical politics. (INN)
