Komatireddy asks Cong leaders to cooperate with TRS Govt

Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Tuesday advised the Telangana Congress leaders to cooperate with the TRS Government to stabilise in the new State.

Speaking to media persons at Secretariat Media Point after meeting Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the former minister said that it was too early for the opposition parties to criticise the new government of a new State. Further, he said TPCC President Ponnala Lakhsmaiah had no right to criticise KCR. He alleged that Ponnala never participated in the statehood movement and later became responsible for the party’s debacle in 2014 elections.

Komatireddy also dismissed the rumours of him leaving the Congress party. He said he would stay with the Congress party although his first priority would be Telangana. He said that the Telugu Desam Party and Seemandhra leaders of Congress were responsible for the backwardness of Telangana.

Giving details of his meeting with the Chief Minister, Komatireddy said that he proposed the construction of a medical college and a Super-Specialty Hospital on Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway. He said this would enable proper medicare for the people, especially accident victims on the highway. He said he had also discussed the problems of farmers of Nalgonda district.
