Komatireddy and Sampath argument is not correct: Jana Reddy

Dismissing the argument of expelled MLAs Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and S A Sampath Kumar that the Congress party didn’t react properly on their expulsion, CLP leader K Jana Reddy has said that they did everything on their part.

Jana Reddy conducted a CLP meeting at his residence here on Saturday and discussed on unseasonal rains, crop loss and political developments in the state.

Later in a chit-chat with the media persons, Jana Reddy said that they discussed on latest political developments in the state and unseasonal rains. He said party MLAs Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and SA Sampath Kumar’s argument that the Congress party didn’t respond properly on their expulsion ,was false. “We conducted protest programs in all constituencies protesting the government attitude towards two Congress MLAs and attended party plenary also. Please tell what more we have to do. The party only invited eminent lawyer and party senior leader Abhishek Singvi to argue on behalf of expelled MLAs. I spoke with Singvi. We brought the expulsion issue to the notice of AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi before plenary. We took the advices of Law Committee member also. I explained to Sampath and Komatireddy after discussing their issue with Abhishek Singvi. Rahul also asked Singvi to take care of the expelled MLAs case”, Jana explained.

Sampath and Komatireddy were publicizing that the party didn’t take care of their issue, he said. “We keep their remarks in mind. We will clear their doubts if any. We will attend as witnesses in Supreme Court to say that the defectors voted against Congress party in Rajya Sabha elections. We know that the Congress party has 10 votes. We fielded the party candidate in Rajya Sabha elections by not expecting the victory. I don’t know the changes taking place in the party. One year time is there for elections in Telangana. The party will speed up its action plan. I believe that the party programs will be intensified by the time elections are announced”, he said.

He opined that it was good if the state goes for elections six months before the schedule time. The Congress party did its best in regard to creation of Telangana state then. Everybody strove to bring the party to power in 2014 but result was different. “Sometimes team will not win even though the captain does century. But sometimes, team will win even though the captain does 10 runs. Our spirit also considered in the same manner. We are working in all possible manner at everybody’s level. We are all striving to bring the party to power in 2019. Some are saying that Jana Reddy has to become Chief Minister of the state. All will not accept if someone says that there are leaders having more qualifications than Jana Reddy. The party high command will take a decision on my son from where to be fielded him in the elections”, he said.

Exuding confidence that the Congress party will win again in Karnataka state, Jana Reddy asked the people to think seriously about Congress party. (NSS)
