Senior Congress leader and Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today clarified there was no political significance in his meeting with Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao. He said he called on the minister only to extend birthday wishes and also thanked Harish Rao for reacting positively on Nalgonda irrigation projects.
Reacting sharply on rumors of party change, Venkat Reddy countered mediapersons and asked them whether he told them that he was joining the ruling party.
Rumors spread in political circles that Komatireddy has already decided to join the TRS party and Venkat Reddy’s meeting with Harish Rao on Saturday strengthened the rumors that he would quit the Congress and join the TRS. (NSS)
