Clashes had erupted in between ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) and opposition BJP in Purulia district of West Bengal during Ram Navami celebration. The violence left one dead and five policemen injured.
However, inUth reported that in the same state, Ram Navami was celebrated with enthusiasm as Hindus and Muslims were united in Kolkata’s Kidderpore area.
Wearing white attire along with skull caps, Muslim youths distribute cold drinks to Ram-Navami processions. TMC’s youth wing members provided water and chilled squash to the rally-goers, presenting a unified image of the state.
