Koirala calls for extending cooperation to the next government post-polls

Kathmandu, Oct. 10 : Nepal Congress prime ministerial candidate and incumbent Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has urged all candidates for the post to cooperate with the next government irrespective of the election results.

“There are challenges, but we need to work together. Two people should not work in contradictory ways, but support each other. If he wins, I should cooperate, and if I win, he should cooperate,” Koirala said while addressing the media after filing his nomination.

When asked why the Nepal Congress didn’t support CPN-UML’s candidate K P Sharma Oli, he said that it was his party decision and was about the values and ideas of the party.

“It was their party’s decision and our party took a different decision. This is not a new thing. This is about the norms, values and ideas. Nothing bad has happened. It is not enough to do one’s own work, we should also support each other,” he added
