Koilsagar to be tourist spot; Talasani lets 8 lakh fish seed into lake

Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav let-off 8 lakh fish seed into Koilsagar in Mahabubnagar district as part of promoting fish cultivation in the State.

Later addressing a public meeting, he said that Koilsagar will be developed into a tourist spot with all facilities. On the occasion, he distributed Rs 15 lakh cheque to shepherd families. He said that the credit of releasing adequate waters into Koilsagar will go to the TRS Government. The State government is committed to encourage fishermen community in a big way enabling them to flourish through their regular activity.

The TRS Government has succeeded in its efforts to overcome power crisis and supplying 9-hour power to agriculture sector, he said. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has introduced many welfare schemes for the poor, old aged and widows and physically disabled in two-and-a-half years, he claimed.

Amid applause of the people, the minister said that the TRS Government kept its promise of giving Rs 1500 pension to physically challenged, Rs 1000 to old aged and widows. Unlike the previous governments the TRS Government has come up with fine rice scheme without ceiling, Kalyana Lakshmi and Shadi Mubarak to offer financial assistance to girls for marriage, the minister noted.
