India’s batting mainstay Virat Kohli has climbed up a place to number four in the ICC rankings for the ODI batsmen, while the side retained its second position in the team list.
Besides Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan and ODI skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni are the other two Indians in the top-10 list. While Dhawan maintained his position at seventh, Dhoni is static at number nine.
The batsmen’s table continues to be headed by AB de Villiers of South Africa.
In the ODI bowlers’ chart, Ravichandran Ashwin is the lone Indian figuring in the top-10 list after gaining a place to be No. 10.
Australia’s Mitchell Starc is the numero uno bowler, followed by South Africa’s Imran Tahir, who rose to second after earning three places following his five wickets in the series against New Zealand.
Meanwhile, the South African team has climbed up to No. 3 following a 2-1 win over New Zealand in the just-concluded series.
In the series between the third and fourth-ranked sides, South Africa had started on 109 points as compared to New Zealand’s 110 points.
However, the 2-1 series win means South Africa has moved to third on 110 points while New Zealand has dropped to fourth on 109 points.
