Telugu Desam senior leader Kodela Sivaprasada Rao on Monday lambasted the State and Central governments for “playing games” with farmers in the State.
The former home minister came down heavily against the State government for its failure to get the court stay order vacated for release of irrigation water to Krishna Delta. Though the government has ability to give water to the SRSP and Krishna delta, it was doing so, he lamented.
He also ridiculed the Food Corporation of India for its announcement that it would procure paddy in Kharif and Rabi seasons from the farmers even as it failed to allocate even a single rupee in the Budget.
