Speaking to the media after JAC’s Steering Committee meeting here on Thursday, Prof. Kodandaram revealed decisions taken in the JAC meeting. He explained that the JAC was constrained to organize ‘Sadak Bandh’ as the Centre had failed to keep its word that it would carve out separate Telangana State.
Prof. Kodandaram appealed to the Telangana people to postpone their journey programs on February 24 and make the Sadak Bandh a big success. He urged the people and students to participate in the program postponing their traveling programs. He also urged all sections of the people to extend their support to the ‘Sadak Bandh’.
Prof. Kodandaram advised the people and students, who participate in the Bandh, to exempt emergency services from the bandh call and give way to Ambulances. He made it clear that the JAC was taking up Bandh program at 12 places in between Shamshabad and Alampur. JAC has decided to assign the responsibility of these 12 places to the district JACs, he added. (NSS)
