After the formation of Telangana State, he maintained distance from political posts. He made struggles to get justice to the farmers who committed suicide and the students who were worried about not getting fee reimbursement from the Govt.
He organized seminars, symposiums and roundtable conferences to unite opposition parties. When he demanded justice for the Telangana Activists and organized rallies, Govt. created hurdles for him at various places. He got pressures from various corners for the formation of a new political party.
Prof. Kodandaram told that a meeting of all the activists of Telangana Political Joint Action Committee is being convened at 10 a.m. on Sunday at Sama Srinivas Garden, Turka Yamjal in which representatives of other parties and organizations are also invited.
After taking into consideration the issues farmers are facing, a formal announcement would be made for the formation of a new political party.
Prof. Kodandaram further told that even after the formation of the new political party, TJAC would continue to exist. The name of the new political party would be finalized soon.
