Kodandaram critical of move to shift Chest hospital

Suggesting to the TRS government not to pursue policy of real estate, Telanagana JAC chairman Prof. Kodandaram today said it should respect the people and not cause hardships to them.
Prof. Kodandaram said “Vaastu” should not be parameter of the Telangana government. It should work as per the Constitution. It should work to protect the city after taking note of people’s opinion. It was not proper to the State government to have real estate as its aim. That was the reason why the people had rejected the previous government, he added.
Speaking at a function organsied by Left parties at Sundaraiah Vignan Kendram against shifting of Chest hospital from Erragadda, the T-JAC chairman said hundreds of companies have been shut down in Hyderabad and thousands of workers lost employment. The face of Hyderabad city has been changed due to negligence of previous government, which permitted private companies to come to the city for selling milk and vegetables. He also alleged that earlier government had sold out famous buildings as part of real estate business.
Addressing the gathering, CPM State secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram alleged that the Chest hospital was not being shifted due to Vaastu, but to do real estate business. Demanding that the TRS government withdraw its decision on shifting the Chest hospital, the CPM leader said, “Telangana government should not go against the Constitution”. (NSS)
