Congress senior leader and TPCC Disciplinary Action Committee chairman Kodanda Reddy on Saturday welcomed the promise made by AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi of giving loan waiver of Rs 2 lakh to the farmers.
Speaking to media persons here, Kodanda Reddy said that the lakhs of farmers would benefit from the schemes. He appealed to the farming community to vote in favour of Congress candidates to ensure that their loans up to Rs 2 lakh get waived off after party comes to power in Telangana.
Kondanda Reddy also accused TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao of lacking vision for the development of farmers in Telangana. He alleged that KCR was trying to mislead the people by making fake promises. He also ridiculed KCR’s promise of joining the Third Front after the elections. He alleged that KCR was trying to exploit the Telangana sentiments to come to power in the upcoming elections. (INN)
