Telangana Political JAC Chairman Prof Kodandaram and the TNGOs President Devi Prasad have declined to contest the elections.
The TRS leadership wanted these two leaders to contest the elections to the Assembly or Parliament, as they have played a key role in the agitation for Separate Telangana state formation. The two leaders, however, rejected the plea of TRS and decided to stay away from electoral politics.
It may be mentioned here that Employees leader Srinivas Goud has shown interest in contesting the election from Mahaboobnagar seat. (NSS)
