YSR Congress Party leader and MLA Kodali Nani was arrested here on Sunday when he created a scene at the party office which was locked by the building owner for non-payment of rent.
On being told that the party office was locked by the building owner, Nani rushed to the spot and got into heated arguments with the police and building owner in this regard. The YSR Congress Party office was being run from a rented building. On Sunday, when Nadi tried to break open the lock, the police intervened and took him into custody and shifted him to Mudinepally police station.
Tension enveloped the area as the YSRCP workers and leaders assembled there in large numbers. (NSS)
