Koda completes one year in judicial custody

Ranchi, November 30: As former chief minister Madhu Koda completed one year in judicial custody today, his close aide Binod Sinha’s judicial custody was extended till Friday by a special Enforcement Directorate court.

The Prevention of Money Laundering Act court of G K Singh, extended the judicial custody after Sinha appeared before him during the day.

Sinha, who had evaded arrest till September 17 this year after going in hiding ever since last year’s October 31 countrywide raids on the premises of Koda and his alleged associates, has been in ED custody from 12 days earlier this month.

Investigating agencies had alleged of recovering documents that revealed over Rs 2000 crore scam of money laundering and illegal investments.
