Kochi airport on high alert following terror threat

Kerala’s Kochi airport was put on high alert after a letter sent anonymously warning of flights being targeted was received by the Airports Authority of India on Friday.

The letter, received by an Airport Authority of India official at the Kolkata airport, reportedly claimed that the flight on Friday night from Ahmedabad to Kolkata and the Saturday morning flight from Kochi to Mumbai will be targeted.

In Kochi airport, security personnel have conducted checks, and a review meeting of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials has been called.
