Knight Riders thrash Kings XI to go top of IPL table

Mohali: Kolkata Knight Riders registered a comfortable six-wicket win over Kings XI Punjab to go top of the Indian Premier League points table in Mohali on Tuesday.

Put in to bat first, Kings XI struggled against spinners and disciplined bowling from pacers as they could only make 138 for eight in their stipulated 20 overs.

Shaun Marsh was the top scorer for the hosts, with Murali Vijay being the only other batsman to make notable score of 26.

Knight Riders relied on opener Robin Uthappa (53) and skipper Gautam Gambhir (34) as they chased down the target with 17 balls to spare. (ANI)
