London, October 09: Multiple Olympic medallist Dara Torres will have left knee surgery on Oct. 20 that will sideline her for her 12-18 months, the swimmer said on Thursday.
The 42-year-old Torres, who has won medals in five different Olympics, has not yet decided if she will try to compete at the London Games in 2012.
Torres has won 12 Olympic medals, at least one in each of the five Games in which she has competed, including three silvers in Beijing last year.
