KL Prasad appointed Maharashtra intelligence chief

Mumbai, August 12: Mumbai’s Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) KL Prasad has been appointed State Intelligence Department (SID) chief, the Home Department said.

Prasad replaces D Sivanandan, who has already taken over as the Mumbai Police Commissioner.

Additional Director-General (Anti-Naxal Operations), Pankaj Gupta has been shifted to DG office in the same rank.

Railway Police chief AK Sharma has been promoted as Additional Director-General (Training).

ST Chavan, Additional Commissioner of Police, Thane has been promoted as IG and posted in place of Sharma.
