Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader and Sircilla MLA K. Tarakarama Rao said that the State government was afraid of conducting local bodies’ elections in the State.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Thursday, KTR said that the State government was hesitating to hold local bodies’ elections as it fears that the people would deliver a fatal blow to the government for adopting anti-people policies. He also pointed out that the Union government had not released funds to the State as did not conduct elections to local bodies.
He reiterated that development would be possible only through small States.
