Telangana Rashtra Samithi secretary-general and Rajya Sabha member K Keshav Rao today said the Medak bypoll to Lok Sabha is prestigious for the party.
Participating in a TRS extended meeting conducted at Gajwel in Medak district on Sunday, Keshav Rao exhorted the party leaders and workers to elect their candidate from Medak K Prabhakar Reddy with a thumping majority. The election result should be such that the BJP and the Congress should lose even their deposits, he added.
Keshav Rao lambasted the BJP and Congress for roping in the candidates against the TRS which is nothing but opposing Telangana. He found fault with the BJP for fielding former Congress leader and Sangareddy MLA Jagga Reddy, who opposed the statehood and did everything to sabotage Telangana. He appealed to the constituents of Medak Lok Sabha seat to elect the TRS candidate and ensure that the BJP and Congress do not exist in the State.
The TRS secretary-general also made it clear that Telangana statehood was the result of the sacrifices and hard work of TRS activists. They have to play a key role now in the elections and give Prabhakar Reddy a thumping majority, he added. (NSS)
