Telangana BJP president G. Kishan Reddy today demanded that the TRS government take measures to implement VSK Koumadi report to improve service conditions of Homeguards, who are discharging their duties on par with constables.
In a letter to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao on Wednesday, Kishan Reddy said services of homeguards were being utilised for the society for the last 50 years, but no measures were taken to improve their service standards.
He also demanded that the KCR government increase daily wages to Rs 500 per day from Rs 300 and provide a weekly off on par with police constables.
Kishan Reddy also urged the government to recruit home guards as police constables who continuously worked for five years and nine month maternity leave with salary for women home guards.
