BJP Telangana unit president G Kishan Reddy has finally filed his nomination from Amberpet Assembly segment.
Kishan Reddy, who was reportedly upset with the party’s decision to ally with the Telugu Desam Party, had earlier announced that he would not contest the ensuing elections. However, a few hours before the closing of nominations on Wednesday, he was directed by BJP National President Rajnath Singh to file his nomination from Amberpet seat.
Speaking to media persons after filing nomination papers, Kishan Reddy clarified that he was not against alliance with the TDP, but wanted to dedicate entire time for the party by not contesting the elections himself. However, following the direction of party’s leadership, he said he filed his nomination from Amberpet. He expressed confidence that he would be re-elected from the seat. (INN)
