BJP floor leader in Telangana Assembly G Kishan Reddy today predicted that one leader within the party would emerge as “Bahubali”.
Talking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, Kishan Reddy said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was determined for development of Telangana State, he said, adding that somebody would emerge as “Bahubali” within the party in the State. Reiterating that his party’s stand on religion based reservations, BJP leader said the State government should stop playing religion-based politics. It was not correct to provide reservation to Muslims in education and employment, he opined.
In view of media reports that the State cabinet is likely to give its nod for 12 per cent reservation to Muslims, Kishan Reddy said the BJP was fighting against religion-based reservation in States and at the Centre. Stating that religion-based reservation was unconstitutional, he demanded that the government withdraw four per cent reservation to Muslims implemented during YSR regime.(NSS)
