BJP floor leader in Telangana Assembly G Kishan Reddy today demanded a hike in pay of Home Guards.
Kishan Reddy today called on Governor E S L Narsimhan and submitted a memorandum to this effect. Speaking to the media later, Kishan Reddy said though Home Guards were discharging duties on par with police constables, but they were being paid 30 per cent less than police constables’ salaries. He also demanded maternity leave for women Home Guards. (NSS)
