TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu has said that Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy would go home (Inti Bata) from his Indiramma Baata, if he failed to resolve the problems of the students.
Speaking after participating in the rasta-roko of the VSR college students at Tenali in this district on Thursday, Naidu said that the government was bound to give hundred per cent reimbursement to the students.
Naidu said that the government was unable to fulfill its promises as it had opened the flood gates of corruption. He demanded that the government implement the reimbursement scheme without any changes. He also expressed anxiety that the future of 25 lakhs of people has become chaotic because of the rigid attitude of the government. He said that the government should make a clear announcement by Friday and threatened that his party would join the students in their fight for reimbursement.
Stating that the parents were not in a position to bear the fee, he said the government should pay whatever the fee decided consequent to the judgment of the Supreme Court. He said that if necessary his party would paralyze the government on this issue.
Naidu alleged that Nizampatnam was becoming another Pulivendula, with lawlessness ruling the roost. Referring to the Vanpic project, Naidu has clarified that his party was not against industrialization. However, they were opposed to acquisition of the lands of the poor for lower rates and selling them for higher prices by the rich. He said that his fight was for the farmers. Stating that the government had allocated 29,000 acres of land for the Vanpic project, he questioned the purpose of the allocation.
