Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and Peddapalli MP Vivekanand engaged in a direct wordy duel. The two leaders developed serious differences after the September 30 Telangana March as the MPs of the ‘T’ region were arrested at the camp office of the Chief Minister.
Kiran Kumar Reddy group is seething with anger at the way Vivek has been using intemperate language against the Chief Minister. While it has been reported that the ‘T’ MPs of Congress have decided to move a Privilege Motion against the Chief Minister, the Kiran group is also planning ways to defame the MPs at the Congress high command. MLC Prem Sagar, a close associate of Kiran has been mustering strength of the party leaders for Kiran.
It is learnt that he was planning a press conference at Paddapalli, in Vivek’s native Karimnagar district and question the development he has achieved there as MP. He is also reportedly preparing to question the efforts made by Vivek to achieve Telangana. Several supporters of Kiran Kumar Reddy have already advised the ‘T’ MPs to go to Delhi and fight for it if they were really committed for the statehood rather than sitting in Hyderabad and criticizing the Chief Minister.
The Congress MPs, including Vivek, are planning to go to Delhi to campaign against the Chief Minister. Kiran group leaders also are planning to go in a group to Delhi and campaign against Vivek, Ponnam and other opponents of the Chief Minister. It is learnt that Vivek is also planning a press conference to assail the Chief Minister and his supporters. (NSS)
