Hyderabad, November 28: Telugu Desam Politburo member E Dayakar Rao has termed chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s agenda to make Rahul Gandhi prime minister by making the Congress win 41 Lok Sabha seats from Andhra Pradesh as an attempt to sidetrack the Telangana issue.
“Kiran Kumar Reddy claims that he is a true Hyderabadi. That should make him a Telanganite. If it were so, he should introduce a resolution in the coming Assembly session on Telangana issue and lift all the cases against students. Then only will we believe him,” Rao told reporters here today.
“Being a Hyderabadi and striving to make the Congress win 41 Lok Sabha seats at the next general election are quite contradictory.
How can there be 41 Lok Sabha seats unless the state remains united? That means the Telangana issue will be on the backburner,” Dayakar Rao said and advised Kiran Kumar Reddy to avoid double talk and prove his sincerity on Telangana.
At another media briefing, Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu said Kiran Kumar Reddy was the third Krishna of the Congress and the fourth Krishna would definitely come before the next election. “I have no doubt that the fourth Krishna would replace Kiran Kumar Reddy,” he said, ridiculing the Congress’ culture of frequently changing its chief ministers.
Naidu appealed to the new chief minister not keep KVP Ramachandra Rao as government adviser. The advisor changed his tack and associated with those in power. Such a person should not be continued as advisor.
“If Ramachandra Rao is retained we will suspect the integrity of Kiran Kumar Reddy,” Naidu said.
