Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu and YSR Congress Chief Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy on Tuesday had to virtually face a volley of verbal firing resorted to by the TRS for their “dubious role” in trying to scuttle the formation of Telangana State.
Addressing a media conference, TRS legislator K.T. Rama Rao unleashed a tirade against the trio stating that despite knowing fully well that the process of bifurcation of the State was unstoppable they were indulging in dramatics to fool the people of the Seemandhra region.
Unleashing a volley of epithets to describe the role being played by Chandrababu Naidu, KTR said the TDP chief tried all methods to put a spoke in the wheel of Telangana State formation from the beginning. He wanted the TDP chief to clearly spell out his party’s stance with regard to formation of Telangana State.
Wondering at the claims being made by Kiran, Naidu and Jagan about the need for “equal justice”, the TRS leader wanted all the three to give a clarity in this aspect. Why all the three were shying away from attending the all-party meeting being convened by the Ministry of Home Affairs, he asked and said that if all the three stood for protecting the interests of the Seemandhra people should take part in the all-party meeting.
The TRS leader also strongly objected to the manner in which the trio was indulging in a malicious propaganda against the President of India by trying to attribute motives of being partisan and biased. President Pranab Mukherjee was well versed with the Telangana issue and there was no need for him to learn lessons on the subject from Kiran, Naidu or Jagan, KTR said and described the three as “traitors of Telangana”
KTR reminded that the TDP president in the beginning had insisted convening an all-party meeting. Now when the same was being held, why is he reluctant to attend, he demanded. (NSS)
