Describing Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy as a megalomaniac, senior Telangana Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member V Hanumanth Rao on Tuesday alleged that Kiran, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and YSR Congress chief Jaganmohan Reddy took a U turn after agreeing for bifurcation of the State to carve out Telangana State.
Speaking to the media here, Hanumanth Rao asked the Seemandhra leaders to take whatever amount they want and go back to their region. He advised the Seemandhra leaders not to put spokes in the formation of Telangana State which is imminent. Minister Uttamkumar Reddy said the Centre has divided the State only after hammering out consensus. He said the party high command would talk on the dharna being planned by Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy. He pointed out that the Chief Minister, Leader of the Opposition Chandrababu Naidu, PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana and presiding officers of the Legislative Council and Assembly are Seemandhra people.
Meanwhile, the Telangana leaders announced that they would stage a peace dharna at Raj Ghat on Thursday in which Deputy Chief Minister C. Damodar Rajanarsimha would participate. (NSS)
