Kiran Kumar will not be replaced as CM: Govt Whip

Contradicting the statement made by the Endowment Minister C Ramchandraiah that film actor turned politician Chranjeevi might soon became the Chief Minister of the State, Government Whip Gundra Venkatramna Reddy said that presently the post of CM was not vacant and there was no scope of any change in this regard in near future.

Talking to the media persons at the Congress Legislature Party office G Venkatramna said that there was no possibility of any change on the CM’s post at present. Chranjeevi might become chief minister in 2014, 2019 or even in 2024 but presently the Chief Minister will not be replaced, he asserted. Terming Ramchandraiah’s statement as his personal view, Venkatramna Reddy said that presently Kiran Kumar Reddy id the Chief Minister of the state and would remain on the seat in future.

Condemning the allegation of TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu that government has failed to provide Krishna Delta water to farmers; the minister said that allegations made by Chandrababu about Polavaram and other irrigation projects were not having any ground. Congress government was extending irrigation facilities to farmers by completing all the projects successfully ever since it come to power in 2004, he clarified.

Naidu, he said, has done nothing for the welfare of farmers during his rule and now shedding crocodile tears for them. He advised the TDP chief to change his behavior otherwise he would be remain as the opposition leader in future too. (INN)
