Kiran Kumar Reddy to form United Indira Congress Party

It is understood that very soon C.M. of A.P. Mr. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy is likely to form a separate Congress Party with the new name “United Indira Congress Party”. Mr. Reddy said that Ms. Indira Gandhi always favoured integrated A.P. In such a political situation, it will not be a surprise if a new party is formed.

Sources close to Mr. R.Surya Prakash Rao MLA of Rajmandri Town told that in two or three days the situation about the formation of new party would be clear. In order to intensify Seema Andhra agitation, a strong leader would emerge to lead this agitation and that leader could certainly be Mr. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy. At the end of the present Parliament session, surprising revelations are expected. Mr. Surya Prakash Rao told that strong reaction is being expressed by Seema Andhra leaders of Congress on the unilateral decision of AICC for separating Telangana State from A.P. Mr. Surya Prakash Rao also told that he would not hesitate to resign from Congress Party if A.P. is not kept integrated. When asked about his intention of joining any other party after resigning from Congress, he said that United Indira Congress Party could be formed. He further told that when Jai Andhra agitation was intensified, Ms. Indira Gandhi had strong supported Integrated A.P. He alleged that all the political parties are creating uncertain political situation in the State. He pointed that when A.P. State was formed merging Telangana into it, a meeting was convened. If discussions had taken place in a congenial atmosphere on Justice Srikrishna Committee’s report, the issue of Telangana could have been solved amicably. By not taking such a step A.P. State was subjected to violence and agitations. He demanded the Govt. to convene Assembly Session for discussion Sri Krishna Commission’s report.
