Kiran Kumar Govt not in minority: Governor

New Delhi, August 26: Governor ESL Narasimhan on Thursday stated that the Kiran Kumar Reddy Government was not in minority. So far, the resignation of 26 pro-Jagan Congress MLAs did not had an impact on the government, as the Speaker Nadendla Manohar was yet to decide on the fate of resignations submitted by the MLAs.

Talking to reporters, the Governor hinted that the government would not fall into minority following the resignation of MLAs. He said he had not received any representation seeking Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to prove his majority in the House. Stating that the governance was not affected in the state, he said administration has been going on smoothly despite resignation of MLAs.

Governor was in New Delhi to meet Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Defence Minister AK Anthony, beside Health Minister and Congress in-charge of state affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad.
