Senior TRS leader and former MP Vinod Kumar has questioned why the Seemandhra leaders were not responding to the Pranahita-Chevella Irrigation Project.
Speaking to media persons here today, Vinod Kumar alleged that Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and YSR Congress party chief and Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy were exerting pressure on the UPA government at the Centre to complete the Polavaram Project early even as the two neighbouring States were raising objections on the project.
The TRS leader said that the Seemandhra leaders remained negligent towards completion of Pranahita-Chevella project though the neighbouring Maharashtra government had expressed its readiness to sign an agreement on the project. He demanded that Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and YSR Congress chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy take immediate steps to take up Pranahita-Chevella project works before the Election Commission issuing a notification for the upcoming by-elections.
