Hyderabad, September 27: Komatireddi Venkat Reddy, the sulking minister in KKR cabinet from Telangana, who took cudgels against Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on various issues, has come up with a plan to unseat the latter.
The Minister is expected to unveil the ‘Kiran hatao, Congress bachao’ campaign on October 2 to coincide with the 142nd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the apostle of peace.
Why declare a war on such an auspicious day? The Minister pointed out that the campaign will be done in a peaceful manner as the Chief Minister failed to live up to the expectations of the people.
‘Not only in Telangana but the administration has been paralysed even in other regions, thanks to the inept handling of the situation by those in power,’ the Minister said and did not rule out the possibility of imposition of President’s rule in the State if things did not improve in the coming one week.
As Komatireddi is known to be stubborn, one has to wait and see what steps the Chief Minister will take to blunt the campaign’s impact.
