Jai Samaikyandhra Party President N Kiran Kumar Reddy has claimed that the process of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh could be undone if his party wins 25 Lok Sabha seats in next elections.
Addressing the first-ever public meeting of his party, Kiran Kumar Reddy said that the State’s bifurcation was not based on any recommendation. The Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill was passed in the Parliament by ignoring the fact that it was rejected by the State Assembly. He alleged that all rules were flouted by the Congress party to divide the State in haste.
Kiran hoped that Supreme Court would give an order to send the Telangana Bill back to the Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Assembly for passage and then proceed.
Referring to TDP chif N Chandrababu Naidu as “Peddababu” and YSRCP President Jagan Mohan Reddy as “Chinnababu”, he said both of them gave letters supporting division of the State and Peddamma (Sonia Gandhi) and Chinnamma (Sushma Swaraj) have divided the State. While slamming the Congress party, Kiran Kumar Reddy also condemned the role played by the BJP. He reiterated that the Telangana Bill was passed in both the Houses in an illegal and unconstitutional manner which was against the spirit of democracy.
Rajahmundry MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar announced that the JSP would not allow the completion of process of bifurcation. He hoped that the Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court would quash the AP Reorganization Act 2014. “Telugu Talli is not dead yet,” he asserted.
Several leaders including former Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal and others were present in the meeting which was attended by thousands of people. (INN)
