Hyderabad: Before the formation of Telangana State, Mr. ESL Narasimhan was appointed Governor of AP in 2009. He continues to be the common Governor for both the States of AP and TS.
After the bifurcation of the State, TDP is in power in AP. CM of AP, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu had made a complaint that Mr. Narasimhan has not been cooperating with his government and suggested for his removal.
There are reports that the Governor of AP is being changed in view of the ensuing Parliamentary Elections. Ms. Kiran Bedi has been famous as an IPS Officer rather than a Governor.
It may be mentioned that several charges were leveled against her after she associated herself with BJP. If she is appointed Governor of AP, the worries of TDP might increase.
The matter now remains to be seen whether a separate Governor would be appointed for Telangana?
