“Jai Samaikyandhra Party president and former CM Kiran Kumar Reddy today launched a scathing attack against the UPA Government at the Centre for dividing the State.
Addressing students in Visakhapatnam, Kiran appealed to the students to slap Congress leaders for depriving them of all opportunities that were available to them till he was chief minister. He asked the students and youth to teach a fitting lesson to the Congress in the coming general elections. He also charged the Congress with deceiving the people of the Seemandhra region.
Though he stoutly opposed bifurcation of the State, the Centre went ahead and divided the State in violation of democratic norms and Constitution. Therefore, the youths, students and people should vote for his Jai Samaikyandhra Party which was born for their welfare and development. “While we have resigned from our posts for keeping the State united, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and YSRCP president Jaganmohan Reddy were vying with each other for CM’s post, he alleged. The people should decide whom to vote”, he said, adding that they were not seeking top posts.
Former ministers Pithani Satyanarayana, expelled MPs Vundavalli Arun Kumar, Sabbam Hari, Harsha Kumar were present on the dais, while Lagadapati Rajagopal and Sai Prathap were conspicuously absent. (NSS)
